Welcome to Issue 9!

Hello and welcome to It’s Kismet, a weekly curated list of holistic health content I thought was worth sharing with more people. Also starting this week, I’ll be adding some chill music for your ears to listen to as you read through. Let’s get to it!

Hey…how are you doing?

How are the first days of spring treating you friend?

Recently I’ve noticed I have so much anxiety that its effecting my dreams. It’s not that I’m seeing my anxieties in my dreams but more so I’m having more weird and stressful dreams than I normally would. They’ve also become really vivid and eventful. So…I treated myself to a good ole’ fashion meditation session. It was one on one, intimate, nice. We meditated for 20 minutes, had some Chai, and talked. That’s how I came to the conclusion that I’ve been doing too much and not taking a beat to breath 🫁, think 💭, and relax 😌.

We’re all going through things, whether it’s dealing with sadness (like loss of a loved one) or starting something cool (like a sticker business). It’s important to take moments of stillness and have self-empathy throughout your journey.

“Writing a daily record of your life is a good way to make sure your memories and experiences stay alive. It lets you keep track and reflect on your past and learn from your mistakes. It can also be tremendously therapeutic. Not only to record fun and adventurous moments, but also sad and scary times. It can be helpful to be able to document changes in your life in an online journal.”

💭 Food for Thought

The benefits of Meditation and mindfulness in times of crisisRead

“Underlying each of the different meditation techniques is a simple coming to awareness of the present moment. Being aware of what is happening in the present moment allows the individual to observe what is arising and what is falling away. By doing this and by allowing thoughts to come and go without attachment, without trying to hold on to them, we learn that calm and stillness follows.”
